Fun St. Patty's Day Race - 2012 Race By: H. P. - (Tampa, FL)
Overall, a really fun race. The course was a loop, which you don't see that often. The loop course made the race enjoyable as they had live music at several different points along the way. The course itself had rolling hills and was almost entirely in the shade (which is great because it was a pretty warm day). Race was small, but organized. After party was pretty good. They had live music, food, and beer. The only complaint is that you only got one free beer with your ticket :) Overall, a great St. Patty's Day race!

It Really Was Rockin - 2012 Race By: M. A. - (Brandon, FL)
This was a pretty unique race that was based on a loop course through the town of Largo. There were some small rolling hills on the course that made it a little different than most races in Florida. The 5k runners did about 2.25 loops on the course before they finished. Admittedly, this is the first time I've ever done a loop course and for the most part it was actually pretty cool. The only negative about the course was that you kind of run into the walkers on the last loop and have to bob and weave through them on your way to the finish line.
There was music both on the course and at the finish line. Both bands were pretty good as they played to their Irish St. Patrick's Day theme. There was one water stop on the course which I think is sufficient for a 5k, and there were more than enough restrooms for the amount of runners that ran the race.
After the race, there was food provided from both Sonny's BBQ and some pizza place. What was weak was that you got one food ticket and one beer ticket and thus had to pay for anything more than that. I tend to like my unlimited beers.
