Definatly my new favorite!!! Great coarse, good ground, a car got stuck leaving parking due to heavy traffic and wet ground, but my jeep was ok :-) great atmosphere, loved the shirt, will run again next year!!!

This race has outgrown the area, course and parking. The race was held on the same night as the Bradenton Seafood Festival so getting there was a case of managing traffic gridlock. With parking being a mile from the start and too few restrooms, numerous people were unable to get to the starting line by the start of the race, and then the sheer number of people made running the race for late arrivals very difficult (numerous strollers, dogs, narrow course...etc). The last point was that there were so many people and the course is partially run on shells and sand that there were a few injuries from falls as well. When there are too many people for a course, this is what happens.

This was my first year running the Robinson Preserve 5k, and it will absolutely become a tradition for me. It was reported to have been the largest 5k in Sarasota or Manatee counties to date. Even so, due to the organizational efforts, it was a wonderful experience. Beginning with the 3 wave starts that prevented congestion on the trails to the water stops along the scenic route through the preserve to the food and festivities at the finish, it couldn't have been more organized. Very well done all the way around!!
