Loved the race - 2013 Race By: Strick S. - (Opp, AL)
This is a big party, with lots of costumes. Come with fun on your mind. If you want to seriously run,get there early and start up front. This race is a fund raiser for our injured military. McGuires does a great job!! I've been doing this event for the last 5 years and it's a blast every year! Sure it's crowded, but never a dull moment.

Didn't like the race - 2013 Race By: M. S. - (Crestview, FL)
It was extremely over crowded and hard to move for a lot of the course.
I registered way in advance and I was unable to get a nice shirt because all they had were XS and was stuck with an XL white t-shirt. I gave my size so there should have been one available for me.
Also, the course was not well marked and a lot of people were confused on which direction to go and missed a whole loop of the course.
The after party was a mess. The crowds were so thick for drinks that if you wanted one you had to wait almost an hour for an irish wake and at least 20 mins for a beer. I know a lot of people who left to go buy drinks.
I had heard such good things about this race and was sadly disappointed.

Loved the race - 2013 Race By: Thomas Brame - (Pensacola, FL)
I ran this race with my 9 year old daughter. This is her 3rd year and my 5th year. We love it. No pressure, just a good, fun atmosphere. We leave before the after party but it is a great time for everyone involved.

Loved the race - 2012 Race By: M. W. - (Pensacola, FL)
I have run this race yearly since 2008, the atmosphere is AMAZING! There is an Irish band up on stage afterward, good hearty food and lots to drink. It's like an Irish block party after a nice run and a lot of the proceeds go to worthy charities.

Loved the race - 2012 Race By: S. B. - (Gulf Breeze, FL)
The race was alot of fun, and everyone seemed to take it that way. Awesome party after. My only complaint was that getting to the start line was difficult due to the amount of people. Maybe separate runners and walkers next time.

I won't call it a race...Its more like a party with 15,000 of my closest friends who broke out into a 5k run.
