The race was really fun, not too crowded. The route was fun with all the twists and turns. The after event was nice with the food and goodie bags. I almost didn't receive a t-shirt, because I registered late. But I still received one afterwards. So, I was very pleased.
The title of this post pretty much says it all. I've now run this race five times and I have been amazed with the growth of this race over the years. This year was a hot one, but there was no shortage of beer and catered food for every runner after the race.
They also mentioned before the race that 100% of the proceeds have gone to cancer resear...
This is a fun, festive, flat, and fast race with slightly over half the race along the waterfront. It's nice to run and see the water without the hazards of running on sand. The bottleneck onto the Davis Island bridge at the start was a bit frustrating and the lack of wind for the first 4-5 miles on Davis Island made for a hot and humid start. B...

Kipsang Sets World Record at Berlin Marathon 9/29/2013 - New York Times Wilson Kipsang of Kenya set a world record of 2:03:23 at the Berlin Marathon on Sunday. The previous record was held by Patrick Makau of Kenya at 2:03:38.
